For detailed online information on each annual survey, consult the online codebooks for each annual survey by clicking on the Data Analysis System for the particular study and selecting one of two codebook display options ("Extra Codebook Window" or "Browse codebook in this window"). The Data Analysis System also allows variable selection, data extraction, and further online analysis of the dataset for each study.

The Special Survey of Orange County and preceding the Orange County Annual Survey are conducted by Mark Baldassare, formerly with the University of California, Irvine, and now at the Public Policy Institute of California. Co-director of the Orange County Annual Survey was Cheryl Katz. These datasets are archived here under an agreement by Mark Baldassare with the University of California, Irvine's School of Social Ecology. This digital archive is maintained by the Social Science Data Archives at the University of California, Irvine, Libraries.
